Inspiration

We brainstormed for how to make "scale" more interesting, and at last we come up with this idea, that Scaling is the ONLY THING player can do in this game. We kind of inspired by hole.io, an io game that have physics simulation, and then we decided to use physics as well.

One of my friend come up with the theme of helping a guy moving to the toilet, then we have this game.

You can scale with literally EVERYTHING in the game except the main character and the toilet. And we find just messing the world up is already funny.

GamePlay

Although you can mess up and scale everything, but it is still not easy to finish this game. We set a limit to everything, that it cannot be larger or smaller than 5 or 10 times of it's original size.

Sound Design

Another interesting part about this game is, when playing it, you can hear wood and metal and plastic sound that smashed together, which gives every scale more expectations and more pleasant.

2 Game Modes

We had a discussion of whether we add air wall to prevent things fall or not. It can make this game harder, while I think it's already hard enough lol. So at last we make it 2 modes, easy mode that have air wall and challenge mode that things could easily drop.

About "Larsh"

Collaborating with multiple people to complete a game project is very different from working on it alone. We’re much more efficient since we can split up tasks. For instance, while I was setting up the framework, my friend had already created the art assets — something that would be hard to imagine doing solo.

However, this process also means we often discuss and communicate to reconcile our differing ideas, then arriving at a compromise. The final result isn’t what each of us originally envisioned, but it’s the best choice for our situation right now.

Overall, I am very happy to complete this project together. I am good at communication and love to building team atmosphere. I think it will be of great benefit to me to participate in more such cooperation.

Lastly, thank you for reading this, my friend, and I wish you be happy every day.
